Safa

Privacy policy

Version 1 · Last updated 23 October 2026

In short: Safa keeps what you enter on your own phone. The app has no internet access at all, so it cannot send anything to us or to anyone else. We have no accounts or servers that store your information, and we do not use advertising or analytics.

Who we are

Safa is published by Quiet Light Apps, an independent developer. You can reach us at support@quietlightapps.win. This policy applies to the Safa app for Android and to this website.

What stays on your phone

Everything you put into Safa is stored only in the app’s private storage on your phone: your school and journey, the steps you ticked off and your counts, your checklist, your travel dates and trip details (such as flights, hotels and phone numbers), your savings and budget, what you spent, your duas, the names of people who asked you to pray for them, and your settings. Some of this is personal and religious information. We cannot see any of it, and it is never sent to us.

What we do not do

Permissions the app asks for

None. Safa does not ask for internet access, notifications, your location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage. When you save or restore a backup, you choose the file yourself using Android’s own file picker.

Widgets

If you add Safa’s widgets to your home screen, they show some of your information there: the days until you leave, the amount you have saved, and the step you are on. Anyone who sees your home screen can see them. Remove a widget at any time by pressing and holding it.

Backups

“Save a backup” creates a file in the place you choose. The file contains your entries in readable form and is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere private. Android may also include the app’s data in your phone’s own backup to your Google account if you have that backup turned on. That is controlled by your phone settings and by Google, not by us.

App lock

If you turn on the app lock, Safa asks your phone to confirm your screen lock (PIN, pattern, password or fingerprint). Safa never sees or stores those details. While the lock is on, Safa hides its screen from screenshots and the recent apps view.

Deleting your data

Open Settings, then Backup and your data, then Delete all my data. You can also uninstall the app, which removes its data from your phone. Backup files you saved yourself stay where you put them until you delete them. If you emailed us and want that email deleted, write to us and we will delete it.

Children

Safa is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because Safa cannot send your entries to us, we hold no personal data from the app that we could show, correct or delete. If you contact us, we hold only what you wrote to us, and you can ask to see or delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page, the version number and the date above before the change reaches you. Earlier versions stay available at their own address, for example /safa/privacy/v1/ for version 1.
