Common questions
Where is today's lesson?
On the Today tab, the burgundy card shows today's new lesson. Learn it with your teacher, then tap I've learned it. Tap Practise to go through it with the counter, or Test yourself now to check it.
Can I practise something other than today's lesson?
Yes. On the Practise tab, choose today's lesson, a range of pages, a surah or a juz, then read or test yourself with the counter.
Why is there no new lesson today?
Today is switched off as a lesson day in Settings, under Days with a new lesson (a tick means on). You can still tap Learn a new lesson anyway.
I already know some surahs or juz.
On the Progress tab, tap Mark what I know by heart (or any juz square): mark by juz, by surah or by page range. They go into the revision, and new lessons skip them.
How do I add my children or students?
Tap the name at the top right, then Add a profile, or use Profiles in Settings. Each profile has its own mushaf, plan and progress. Each widget shows the profile you chose when you added it; press and hold the widget to change it.
I use the IndoPak 13-line mushaf.
Choose IndoPak and type in the number of pages in your copy. Anisa plans by your page numbers. The surah names and the text are shown for the Madinah mushaf only for now.
I ticked something by mistake.
Tap the tick again the same day to undo it.
How do I save a backup, or move to a new phone?
Open Settings, then Backup and your data, and tap Save a backup. On the new phone, install Anisa, open the same section and tap Restore, then pick the file. Restoring replaces everything currently in the app.
The widget does not show the right numbers or colours.
Open Anisa once so it can refresh the widgets. Widgets also update on their own about every 30 minutes. If a widget still looks wrong, remove it and add it again.
Report a problem in the text
If any ayah looks wrong on your phone, a mark, a letter or an ayah number, please tell us straight away with the surah and ayah, your phone model and a screenshot. We treat these reports with the highest priority.
